Stuck in a fable knowingly unable to change
Asking questions and professing strange truths
Like the ones you learn in a dream
But you can’t recall the scene
So you say oh well it's a dream
And that’s good enough for my brothers
My lovers and friends who speak without end
I envy how their ideas never seem to
Bend without breaking
I love my rebels but I don’t want their troubles that make them happy
Because they are fighting trying to enlighten themselves
I guess we all die for the things
That make us want to live
That make us want to give
Our best and no less to the ones that caress us
And make us feel precious asking us to embellish
The rest of their existence with a single
Breath
I feel I should ramble but I know it’s a gamble, honey
Betraying my conscience for their two cents and some money
Just know that I cannot follow you
Over the deep blue
With your merry crew
Who remembers our memories incase we forget
And saves us from drowning incase we get hit
They’re all madly in love with you and I hope you know
I am too
You have no opposite

Vultures

Office full of vultures
Addicted to the culture
Easily manipulated into soldiers
Soldiers for the trade
Who don’t bother asking what they’re paid
But if they are late
There will be hell to pay
Youngblood pining for the halo
Ready for any obstacle this circle can bring
Willingly weathering
Too much
Business, business, business
That’s what I want
Keeps my mind, heart, house, bank account
Full every month
Well you just need a little
To keep that warm feeling in the middle
And if I don’t get too close, my love
It’s because these vultures got me living like a ghost
Youngblood pining for the halo
Ready for any obstacle this circle can bring
Willingly weathering
Too much
